Welcome to the Mercy University Hospital Catering Department, where we aim to provide the best service possible to our patients, staff and visitors.
 
Our objective is to offer excellence in both food and service to our customers.  We endeavour to meet all the individual food requirements of our customers.  These may be therapeutic and special diets for patients or dishes required by the nationality and religion of our multi-ethnic customer base.

Patient meals are served daily and meal times are as follows:

 

Breakfast                        8:15 am

Evening Meal                  5 pm

Late Evening Beverage    8 pm

 

Summary of Services Provided

 

The Catering Department caters for all meals to patients, staff and visitors of MUH.

The main restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Catherine McAuley block and serves breakfast, lunch and evening hot food to both Mercy staff and visitors.  Here we provide a full self-service menu for staff and visitors.  The main restaurant provides a wide variety of choice such as:  hot self-service main courses, healthy options, salad bar, ethnic and religious food requirements, vegetarian and snack meals, plus a takeaway service.

The small restaurant coffee shop is both sit down or takeaway and is located opposite the main restaurant.  It provides a variety of coffees, scone, sandwiches and hot soup during lunchtime to staff, patients and visitors alike.

There is a vending room adjacent to the small restaurant area which holds a selection of minerals and confectionary.  There are also several vending machines located around the hospital.

The Catering Department provides catering for special hospital functions.
